George is the manager of workplace relations at AMA Queensland. He has been with Workplace Relations Department for over 9 years, graduating from Griffith University School of Business with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Employment Relations and Human Resources. George advises private medical practices on all aspects of employment, including Award compliance, drafting of employment contracts, managing the employment lifecycle and advice on exiting employees. As a health industry specialist, George is familiar with all the relevant legislation applicable to private practice, including The Fair Work Act, various modern awards and the Work Health and Safety Act. This important role provides accurate advice to members to reduce the potential risk of workplace claims. Although he enjoys all aspects of this complex environment, George particularly likes working directly with practices to provide support and ensure compliance which leads to better outcomes for doctors and their staff.
