Telehealth and mentoring, improving oral health outcomes in the Torres Strait
Saturday 1 September | View program for more details
In the Torres and Cape Hospital and health service we provide services to many small, very remote communities. The geographical spread of the communities creates one of the main challenges of service provision. Dental services have traditionally been treated within its own silo with little knowledge present within the general medical team. The telehealth project looks at the barriers of distance from services and limited oral health education within Primary Health Care staff.
